Flashback..

Gowthami Express, About to reach Kazipet station.
Time: 4:30 AM

Karthik was desperate to see her. to get her back.
He came to her compartment. She is about to get down in the next station.
He just passed out his college. He knows, its his final chance. They may never meet again after that journey.
She does not want to talk to him. God knows why. (who can understand girls?)
She started shifting her luggage towards the door. her friend was helping her out.
He stretched his hand offering help. she declined.

Aah.. time is running out. Another 5 minutes more for the train to reach the station.
He is following her towards the door. They reached the door. Her friend was still with them.
.....

Karthik picked up.
''So... what next?''
Geeta did not respond. 10 seconds of silence.
he  continued "I want to come to your home. I want to talk to your parents. Is that OK?"
"No.." She did not want a scene at her home.

Someone laid their hand on Karthik. he turned around. He saw a man with a big moustache. he looked angry. He has a rifle to his shoulder. he was wearing Khaki dress. he was a Railway constable..

Karthik gave him some space to walk on. but the cop adjusted himself near the door just beside them.
Karthik had no choice. he turned towards Geeta and continued..

"I dont know when we'll meet again. and.. and this is our last chance!!
We both finished our college and going in search of our careers. I want to come with you"
"No Karthik.. Please dont follow me.."

Silence....

Karthik looked around.
Her Friend.. She held Geeta's hand and was trying to console her friend.
next.. the Cop was looking straight into his eyes. He was angry. Karthik looked like a saddist eve-teaser to him.

Suddenly the train Screeched..  they all looked through the small openings of the door. Lights outside..
"Welcome to Kazipet Station.. Train No. ..." The Announcement.

The Cop moved ahead and opened the door.
This time Karthik picked up one of her Luggages. she looked at him. she picked up her other bag and got down. He followed.

On the Platform. She turned towards him. She took her luggage from Karthik and
"Bye Karthik". Turned and started walking away.

He stood there watching her leave him. His eyes filled with tears. All the moments they spent together those four years rewinded in his memory.

POMMMMM...

Karthik came back from his thoughts by the train whistle!!
Train started moving slowly picking up speed. he turned towards the door. it was closed.
He peeped inside through the narrow openings. the cop was still there putting the bolt to the door.
He knocked to open. The cop looked at him but continued locking and stood straight.

Karthik was startled to find himself on the platform and train moving. he started running towards next compartment, then next, to find all doors closed.
"Yesss" he found the next door open and dived into the running train.

"Phew.."

He reached his compartment inside. After few minutes, the cop came searching for him.
The cop's expression looked odd to him..

Surprised, Karthik asked him.. "Whats the matter, Sir?"
Cop politely replied..
"I wished you would go and win her back. I know what the pain is..
But.." he stopped. turned aside and moved ahead.

Karthik realised his mistake.

The Cop had a Lost-love 'Flashback'..

Speedometer 2.0

Progress should be the ultimate aim of any Nation. And the Nation I am talking about here and everywhere is not just the country as a whole but also her every citizen.. We have to realise that TIME is MONEY. Every minute we spend is valuable. The slower we do one work or procrastinate, the slower the economy runs.

Why do we have to hire 15 people who take one full day for a work which can be done in just 2 hours by a machine and with just one operator.. Well, the reason that comes up from many of my friends is India is a very populous country and needs employment for everyone.
Well, my question to them is: Is this the only way of providing employment to the masses?

India being a developed country has many opportunities. A simple realisation that a developing nation with so much population needs a sound Infrastructure is enough to produce scores of Employment. In order to build sound transportation system, Water system, power sector, Hospitals, Schools, vehicles, tele-communication system, we need people. So, Instead of wasting time and brains of many people by doing unskilled jobs, Some can be used for the above. Infact we should put more emphasis on this.

At a place of 10 work-men, Work done is by 3 people, one supervisor not even touching the tools but still commands over those 3. and the other 6 people watching them and playing jokes.

Let us realise that the way we are doing things at the moment is really make us Lazy and make our progress slower and slower. there might come a day when we might see the progress is stopped and infact take a negative turn if we dont realise the importance of time.

The Road to development is too Long and the Speed is inversely proportional to the time taken.
So, Lets VRRROOOM..!!

The Speedometer

Speed is the Distance travelled per unit Time. Every Bachcha knows this. But Why dont our
City Planners, Politicians forget this basic Point. I got this doubt several times.

Well,
The Basic Point is just read and forgotten after we pass the examination. But the real test
is applying this thought. Ok Ok. I got you now. You dint get my point. I'll explain it to you.

If there is a Road of a Kilometer from Point A to Point B. and if the vehicles are moving at 20kmph.
how many vehicles can pass that place in 10 mins?
Imagine the same place and vehicles are moving at 60kmph.
It'll allow 3 times the number of vehicles than the first case.

There will be more vehicles passing the road.
Then, You'll use the road for less time and take less gases into your Nostrils. thus reduce your medical bills.
You can reach your office/Home faster and spend some extra time with your cute colleague/loved ones.
and we save some extra fuel and thus your pocket happy and may be you can buy a nice gift occassionally to the above mentioned.
Saving the fuel itself will be add-on savings to the nation's demand.

This is the basic point which everyone of us is forgetting.

So, My dear Bureaucrats, Please build us some Good Roads. Please spend some money on repairing the holes on the roads. Please do not eat much of the Contractor's Grass. Instead see the Road is built correctly.

and, My dear fellow travellers, let the speed rise. Lets do some Good by increasing the engine-beat.

Lets VRROOOOMM...

Midnight Blues

After one more tiring day at Office, When I was about to sleep early by 11pm,
My friends started calling up.

Well,  I dont want to be rude to someone who wanted to talk to me. So, I woke up and start listening and then slowly come back alive and pick up some conversation.

When I observe the trend of this midnight calls, I observed following things.
1. Usually only very close friends call /answer to late night calls
2. It begins with the most stupid question which has an obvious answer (and i still dont know why, even friends ask the same, just to keep the formality I think) "How are you?", "I am Fine!!"

the most important point I noticed is
3. We talk about the (un)important twists and turns of our lives, Life being crazy towards us mainly about Love, Family, Work life, Friends etc. But In midnight calls, Lost (??) love, Family problems and all. Parents'over-reaction to so-called Love stories, Clashes with friends about lovers are mostly talked about.

What I feel is..
There is something going strange in the lives of people who think they got lost and need some company.
The telephone operators got this crazy idea of making money by making night call rates cheaper and (un)limited call offers and thus affecting social life of people.

I feel funny when I see some old bollywood movies ( when mobiles phones were not introduced. Tough to imagine. Right??) where Hero and heroin think about each other the whole night and write letters (What??) to express their feelings to each other. Desperately wait for the next day, try to catch up the first chance of meeting their loved one and secretly passing their letters (sometimes with the help of friends), reading the letters smiling, blushing all the way then finally giving an odd expression which means "I need more" kinda stuff!!

Now, so-called Lovers have their own mobiles to talk to their counterparts and keep-in-touch 24 hrs to each other. Their morning begins with a wake-up call, then breakfast call, Travel msgs, what (the hell) are you doing call, evening chat, sweet dreams call until late in the night.

And when there is a clash with their boyfriend or girl friend or parents'trouble.. Huh, People need some one else to talk with who they think can help them somehow atleast to listen the struggle (?) they are facing in their personal lives.

Ultimately screwing up the happy sleep of victims like me!!
